RIP, Mr. Bradbury.

Rio didn't make it. A kidney tumor, they think. The hospital is attached to the shelter, so when my shift's over I'm gonna bring him home. Poor little guy must've been so scared. I hope his mate will be ok.

Uncovered the budgies' cage this morning, and Rio (the male) was on the bottom of the cage, puffed up and breathing hard. He let me pick him up (which he never does), but he couldn't stay on the perch I put him on. He's not moving his right leg at all. So we're at the animal ER. Poor little guy :-(

I've been feeling like crap lately, taking too long to get over a cold from a couple weeks ago, and when I started throwing up and having attacks of feverishness and fatigue, I figured I had the flu - that is, until Wednesday night, when my right ear started ringing and hurting. 1) The scarf is actually not so bad. The colors are a bit faded and it's kinda stiff, but it's still soft and warm. Not as nice as it was, but wearable.

2) Thanks for letting me vent, y'all. You know how little things can seem like the end of the world when you're already having a bad day? Yeah.
